[Opinion] Rice Flourishes with Water
There is a waterway in every rice paddy. It is important for a field to have several ditches so that water can be drained quickly. The more water the ditches have, the more fertile the field will be. The situation can be applied to all of us. The more effort we put into our work, the more fertile our lives will be. The problem is that we hesitate before digging into one ditch.
After entering college, most students worry about their lives. Freshmen may be concerned about the clubs they choose and seniors may be concerned about the internship programs they apply for. They may be afraid that they may not be much help for their career. However, this is natural. It happens to everyone. Young and old, men and women, we all have concerns. We are not sure of the choices we made or of the actions we have committed. We worry that our choices may not bring about a good outcome.
Relax. We are still young. We have many chances to make important changes in our lives. We just have to do our best into the field we like the most. Some of you have already enriched the field while others have a withered field. It does not matter too much what condition we are in. We can dig ditches to share water into other fields. This will eventually make our field even more fruitful.
